The platform

A daily habit small enough to keep, visible enough to matter.

Ubeus is a native iOS and Android application, live in the Apple App Store and Google Play. There are no agency servers to stand up, no IT build, and no infrastructure to maintain. Everything below ships in the product today.

01 · Check in

Two questions. Sixty seconds. No clinical vocabulary.

Members answer two questions a day. The first — how do you feel right now? — is a slider from Crisis to Amazing, in plain human language rather than a symptom inventory. The second — how do you want your life to be right now? — is future-focused, and it is the question that makes the whole thing work.

A member can add a short note in their own words. The app returns brief, supportive reflection. Nothing asks them to identify as damaged, which is precisely why people who avoid clinical programs will complete it on a night shift.

  • Seven-point scale in everyday language, not diagnostic criteria
  • An optional short note, shared with your crew alongside your status
  • Streaks and habit reinforcement to sustain daily use

02 · Crews and Rally Around

The crew sees distress and silence — in hours, not weeks.

Crews are private and invitation-only, organized the way the workforce already is: by shift, station, unit, watch, or cohort. There is no public feed, no algorithm, no follower count, and no strangers. It is the deliberate antithesis of social media.

Crewmates see one another’s current status — never the history behind it. When someone reports distress, or has gone silent for seven days, they rise to the top of every crewmate’s screen under Rally Around. It is a quiet signal to reach out, not an alarm and not a mandatory report. Intervention comes from a trusted colleague the same day, instead of from a clinical intake queue weeks later.

03 · Support

Crisis lines and the organization’s own resources, one tap away.

Sometimes connection is not enough. The Support tab puts the 988 Suicide & Crisis Lifeline, 911, and crisis text lines behind a single tap — alongside a resource library the agency controls.

Departments load their own EAP, chaplaincy, peer support team, union, and local resources, plus population-specific libraries for veterans, military, law enforcement, wildland fire, and fire/EMS. Resources are updated centrally and appear immediately. No app release is required to change them.

04 · Chat and trends

Somewhere to actually talk, and a record only you can see.

Crew chat and one-to-one messaging are built in, so the conversation that starts with a Rally Around signal has somewhere to go. Messaging is confined to explicit crew members.

Each member also gets longitudinal self-tracking: a trend chart of their own check-ins over weeks, months, and years, and a private journal. That history is visible to the member and no one else — not crewmates, not supervisors, not the agency.

Privacy architecture

Privacy is a design constraint here, not a policy page.

A wellness tool that a workforce does not trust is a wellness tool nobody opens. The product is built so that using it honestly cannot cost a member their career.

Journals stay on device

Journal entries never leave the device unless the member chooses to share them.

Status today, never the history

Crewmates see how someone is doing right now. The trend line behind it belongs to the member alone.

Sharing is crew-only

No public profile, no broadcast, no discovery, no algorithmic feed. Membership is by invitation.

No supervisor surveillance

Ubeus is not a monitoring product. Agencies receive aggregate enrollment and engagement reporting, not individual check-in data.

No agency infrastructure

Commercial SaaS delivered through the public app stores. Nothing to host, patch, or decommission on the agency side.

Nothing to strand

Members keep a free account if agency funding ends. The habit and the crew survive the contract.

For program administrators

What the agency gets alongside the app.

Agency-configurable resource library

Department EAP, chaplains, peer support team, union, and local resources, curated by the agency and updated centrally without an app release.

Administrator dashboard

Enrollment, activation, and engagement visibility for the program manager running the deployment — at the cohort level, not the individual level.

Engagement and outcome reporting

Data packaged for program review and grant close-out reporting, which is what turns a pilot into a renewal and a grant into a continuation.

Onboarding built for 24/7 shift work

Rollout support, a training video library, and crew structures designed around rotating shifts rather than a 9-to-5 all-hands.

Resilience training

The Living Ideation curriculum for warrior-servant populations — CISM/ICISF-aligned and delivered by a national ICISF instructor.

Deployment and sustainment support

Direct access to the principals. Ubeus is small enough that the people who built the platform run the rollout.

See it against your own workforce.
